Group Classes

A group environment provides puppies and dogs with much needed exposure to dogs and people! Training will teach you the steps to a lifetime of success and enjoyment with your dog! Take a look at what different levels of training we offer! Not sure if your dog is a good fit? Check out out All-in-One private lesson package or email us before signing up!

MAINTENANCE HOUR

This hour gives clients the opportunity to get more assistance without the commitment of a long term class!

  • OPEN TO CLIENTS WHO HAVE PREVIOUSLY ATTENDED CANINE 101, 201 OR 301.

  • resolve any issues you are currently having

  • practice applying learned behaviors in a controlled environment

  • receive assistance in regards to behaviors previously taught in class.

    *You are not obligated to stay the full hour

Canine 101

[INDOOR] Canine 101 is a beginner class for dogs older than 4 months to learn basic obedience through engagement, consistency and marker training. You and your dog will learn the foundations of training that can be used through various levels of training.

The following is the class outline:

  • Sit /down

  • Stay

  • Watch me/look

  • Leave it

  • Recall Foundation

  • Marker Training

  • Engagement

  • Socialization

  • Attention

  • Leash Manners

Hiking Etiquette

[OUTDOOR] Love to hike? Join this fun 6 hike etiquette class focusing on making you comfortable with safely hiking with your dog. Meet new people with the joy for dogs and hiking!

The following is the class outline:

  • How to advocate for you dog

  • How to prepare for hikes

  • Having acceptable leash control/manners

  • How to safely let others pass

  • How to handle your dog when passing a reactive dog

  • What to do when you are met with an off leash dog in an on leash hike

ReactivE DOG

[INDOOR] This 5 session class is designated for dogs with reactivity issues with other dogs or people— whether it be fear or excitement based! Through the use of barriers we teach you and your dog how to handle a situation with other dogs or people. Through this process it will allow you to address reactivity issues outside of class. This class is capped at 5 dogs to provide a more successful outcome.

The following is the class outline:

  • Focus and engagement to owner

  • Increase confidence around dogs & people

  • Decrease Reactivity around dogs & people

  • Teaching calm behavior around dogs & people

  • Learning to walk past other dogs & people

Canine 201

[OUTDOOR] Canine 201 is a public exposure class. Allowing you and your dog to implement training in real world scenarios under the supervision and assistance of a trainer. A quick review of Canine 101 will begin this 6 session course.

The following is the class outline:

  • Advancing Sit/down/stay

  • Beginning a focused heel

  • Impulse control

  • Recall with advanced distance

  • multiple commands & commands at a distance

  • down in motion

RECALL CLASS

[OUTDOOR] Want to teach your dog a solid recall? This class is for those who don’t want or need to learn other basic commands, but need help teaching their dog to come when called!

The following is the class outline:

  • Focus and engagement around dogs + people

  • Building motivation with high value rewards

  • Teaching the “here” "or “come” command

  • Adding distance to your recall

  • Adding distraction to your recall

AKC S.T.A.R Puppy

[INDOOR] Get your puppy off to the right start by receiving information on puppy raising, manners and obedience in this fun 6 week class . This class will set the foundations for a healthy, happy and successful relationship with your pup! Upon passing the class, attendees will have the opportunity to receive a certificate from the AKC and a AKC S.T.A.R Puppy ribbon from us!

Canine 301

[OUTDOOR] Canine 301 is primarily a recall class but touches on advancing obedience in a handful of areas. This class is ONLY for dogs that have passed Canine 201. Dogs will continue to use the marker method to become more advanced with commands they have learned.

The following is the class outline:

  • Introduction to e-collar

  • Off Leash Obedience

  • Commands from a distance

  • Advanced heel

  • Advanced Place command

TRICK CLASS

[INDOOR] Looking for more fun with your dog?Join this exciting trick class to bond with your dog! Spend 6 sessions teaching your dog new tricks.

The following is the class outline:

  • Sit Pretty

  • Bow

  • Spin Right & left

  • High Five

  • Stand (on command from sit/down)

  • Holding an object

AKC C.G.C CLASS

[INDOOR] For any S.T.A.R Puppy or Canine 101 graduates who wants to prepare and test for their Canine Good Citizen! This is a fun and advanced class. Attendees that pass will have the opportunity to receive a certificate from the AKC and a CGC medallion from us. At the end of this class you will be tested on:

  • Accepting a friendly stranger

  • Sitting politely for petting

  • Grooming ettiquette

  • Walking on loose leash

  • Walking through a crowd

  • Sit and down on cue

  • Staying in place

  • Coming when called

  • Reaction to another dog

  • Reaction to a distraction

  • Supervised separation 

The evaluation will be performed on the 6th week of class.
